Physical Therapist Outpatient Location unspecified. The organization is seeking a dedicated outpatient physical therapist to evaluate and develop treatment plans for patients, ensuring effective rehabilitation and safe return to community activities. The role involves patient education, delegation of therapy services, and adherence to professional standards and safety protocols.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school, CPR Certification, 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience, and the ability to work several days per week with 8-hour shifts totaling at least 40 hours weekly.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Completes comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
- Performs timely and accurate medical record documentation, including goal setting, functional assessments, and charge entry, in compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Participates in student programs, providing supervision and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Creates and pursues a professional development plan through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
- Ensures care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance parameters, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintains professional licensure in good standing and completes all mandated continuing education requirements.
- Demonstrates understanding of performance improvement processes to enhance quality of services and actively participates in organizational initiatives.
- Adheres to safety protocols addressing patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, infectious disease protocols, and slips/trips and falls prevention.
