Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) located in Fargo, ND. This position involves assessing, providing therapeutic interventions, and educating patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or related complications within a Level 1 trauma and ICU setting. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment, providing specialized respiratory care for pediatric and adult patients.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements: ND license (NDSBRC), BLS (AHA), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, and at least 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience in ICU and trauma settings.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, every other weekend, holidays with 8- and 12-hour shifts, primarily 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include respiratory therapy assessments and protocols, arterial punctures, blood gas analysis, ventilator and NIV therapy management, medication delivery, airway clearance, assisting with intubations, bedside trach placement, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy changes and decannulation, extubations, emergency response teams, ICU rounds, and patient intrahospital transport.
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Hamilton G5 & C1, V60, Airvo, Philips CoughAssist, Synclara Cough Device, Volara, Vest, ResMed AutoPAPs, Radiometer ABL90 Flex, Aerogen, Nitric Oxide, HFOV, B Braun Syringe Pump, and various patient home ventilators.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have at least two years of recent ICU and trauma experience, with preference for pediatric rotations. Willingness to float to other campuses as needed. The facility conducts lab orientation and preceptor shifts for new hires. All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
