Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in the area. This role involves providing both basic and advanced respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients, including administering inhaled specialty gases, performing diagnostic procedures, and managing mechanical ventilation. Candidates with experience in Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and preferably Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), are highly desired to deliver age-specific assessments, interventions, and patient education in a fast-paced ICU environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCB) license, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), at least 1 year of relevant experience, working in locations that meet the assignment requirements.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Additional Information: The candidate should be familiar with electronic medical record systems. The role involves documenting age-specific care plans, assessments, interventions, and patient responses, as well as recording diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the medical record.
