Job Summary:
A Respiratory Therapist specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the location in California. This role requires administering inhaled specialty gases, performing diagnostic procedures, and providing both basic and advanced respiratory assessments and therapies. The position involves documenting patient care and interventions, with experience in Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings preferred. Candidates should be proficient with electronic medical records systems.

Job Details:

• Locations: California
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCB) license, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), at least 1 year of experience in Pediatric and Intensive Care Unit settings, authorized to work in California, and experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is advantageous.
• Additional Information: The candidate will administer inhaled specialty gases such as heliox and inhaled nitric oxide, perform diagnostic tests including blood gases and pulmonary function, and execute therapeutic procedures like mechanical ventilation and airway care. Responsibilities include documenting age-specific care plans, assessments, patient education, and responses, with record entries in the medical record.
