Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo located in the healthcare setting. This role involves coordinating and performing echocardiography procedures to produce two-dimensional and M-mode graphic representations of the heart using high-frequency sound waves. The position supports physicians in diagnosing cardiac malfunctions, malformations, and abnormalities, requiring effective interaction with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities requiring a response within 60 minutes. On-call duty includes every 4th weekend and one day per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate Degree in Applied Science or related field. Registration as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or credentialing through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Valid license or certificate verification. Professional references. Recent Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the last 12 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stress testing and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs).
- Additional Information: The position demands demonstrated high-level knowledge and critical thinking skills for testing patient populations with cardiac conditions such as acute myocardial infarction.
