Description
Job Summary:
Pharmacist Inpatient (PHARM IP) position located in the inpatient setting. This role involves working within a hospital environment to prepare and dispense medications, including chemotherapy and hazardous drugs, following all safety protocols. The position requires collaborative patient care, adherence to clinical guidelines, and supporting multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal medication management.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., every 3rd or 4th Saturday (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
- Required Qualifications: PA state license required; EPIC Beacon experience required; minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient pharmacy; Certified by BCPS, BLS, and in Chemotherapy/Hazardous Drug; IV certification, PharmD or RPh degree, with experience in chemotherapy, sterile technique, and clinical dosing.
- Additional Information: Will work at York hospital but could be floated to Apple Hill (2 miles away). May care for COVID-19 patients. Must be tobacco and fragrance free facility; notify traveler prior to submission.
- Travel and Certification Requirements: All pharmacists/pharmacy technicians are required by law to hold a PA license. Candidates must complete and pass the EKG exam within 72 hours of signing travel contract; modules are billable and completed pre-start.
