Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in an inpatient and emergency department setting. This role involves performing adult patient respiratory treatments with a focus on critical care, including ventilation management and ABG analysis. The position requires working night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift from 1800 to 0630 with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification are required; valid license to submit; minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred but not specified; locations including inpatient and emergency department settings
  • Preferred Qualifications: RRT designation is preferred; CRT certification will be reviewed
  • Type of Patients: Adults, including critical care patients on mechanical ventilation and those requiring ABG analysis from arterial lines or punctures
  • Position Responsibilities: Draw and analyze ABGs; assist with intubations (may assist or perform independently); manage ventilators such as Vapotherm 840/980, V60 Ventilator, Bipap, and High Flow devices
  • Additional Information: The hospital has a cancellation policy allowing up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment; charting is completed in EPIC; no special dress code or scrub color required; hospitalist or intensivist is in house during shifts; department-specific orientation provided; no floating required; no call or standby call required.
