Description
Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Clinical (Interventional Radiology CL) professionals are needed for a healthcare facility in a dynamic setting. This role involves assisting with various interventional procedures, ensuring radiation safety, and supporting physicians in a fast-paced environment. The position requires adaptability and a collaborative approach to patient care within a specialized clinical team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Ten-hour shifts, four days per week, with a rotating day off. The shift hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The schedule may also be considered as five eight-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM each week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA). At least 2 years of interventional radiology experience. Must hold a license to submit and be able to work in the specified care setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Merge and Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Float: Hybrid float rotation may be required for vascular cases.
- Additional Information:
The facility includes 7 procedure suites/labs, with an average of over 20 cases daily across all rooms. Cases encompass port placements, liver biopsies, IVC placements, G-tube placements, PICC & central line insertions, neuro interventions (coiling, thrombectomy, embolizations), and vascular surgeries like fem-pop bypass, AAA repair, carotids, EVAR, and angiography. Responsibilities include preparing procedure suites, calibrating and troubleshooting fluoroscopy and hemodynamics monitoring equipment, managing supplies, assisting physicians with device exchanges, guidewire and catheter manipulations, deploying balloons and stents, managing radiation doses and imaging angles, and room turnover. The role involves working in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment with a shift response time of 30 minutes during on-call periods.
