Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Libertyville, IL. This role involves providing respiratory care to patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, in a Level I Trauma Center with a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a primary stroke center. The position requires active licensure and several certifications, with a strong emphasis on critical care skills and EPIC electronic charting system experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/19/2026 to 01/16/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid active Illinois respiratory therapy license; minimum of 2 years of experience working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients; current BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP certifications; RRT or CRT credential; EPIC experience; active licensure and certifications must be current at time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention, spontaneous breathing trials, and ABG draws.
• Additional Information: Skills required include critical care experience, ventilator management, and spontaneous breathing trial expertise. The unit operates with a 1:1 patient ratio, and scrubs of charcoal gray color are required. Free parking available. Orientation is one day on the unit. Weekend rotations are every other weekend, with holiday shifts based on needs. Support includes supervision from unit leadership, and charting is completed via the EPIC system. Ventilators used include PB840, PB980, Servo-U, Hamilton CPAP/BiPAP, and transport ventilators such as Hamilton. Potential floating to other hospitals within the service area based on contract needs.
