Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a nighttime position. This role involves providing respiratory care services in a busy healthcare environment, with a focus on pediatric patients. The position is scheduled for nights, involving 12-hour shifts, with a duration of 13 weeks, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/06/2027.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited school for Respiratory Care; NY State license; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care; BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP and PALS certifications are preferred; 0 years of experience required
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of acid/base/electrolyte relationships and implications of life-threatening situations; ability to establish patient ventilator settings using metric measurements and advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships
Additional Information: Position requires knowledge of pediatric respiratory care, with responsibilities including setting up and monitoring ventilator parameters in pediatric patients. The EMR system used is Meditech. Float: Float rotation may be required.
