Description

Job Summary:
Vascular Sonographer position is based at a healthcare organization in an acute care setting. The role involves performing ultrasound procedures in vascular imaging, including carotid, venous insufficiency, ABI, arterial duplex, and extremity venous exams. The sonographer will work primarily during daytime hours with planned on-call duties every third weekend and weeknights as needed. The position requires the candidate to be the sole vascular sonographer at the assigned location and to occasionally float to additional clinics or hospital units.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour days, with variable start times (e.g., 8:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m.), Monday through Friday; minimum 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years recent scanning experience; ARDMS credentials, RVT certification, BLS certification through AHA, and an active state imaging license.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ultrasound equipment models GE E10 and S8/Fortis, Parks Flolab; ability to perform protocols independently; familiarity with electronic worksheets and EPIC Radiant scheduling system.
  • Additional Information: The candidate will complete HR orientation and a department-specific training program, including scanning competencies alongside experienced sonographers. Candidates must have previously worked for the organization with an end date at least six months prior to submission. All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility. Proper submission of licensing documentation to the designated licensing board is essential to avoid delays. The role includes working at a hospital providing urgent care and orthopedic services, along with clinic-based vascular imaging.
