Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a healthcare facility. Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine Technology program; verification of national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine Board and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or equivalent; licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable; BLS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience.
• Performs nuclear medicine procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders, using independent judgment and applying learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
• Educates patients and families regarding procedures and/or treatments to be performed, demonstrating professional behavior and fostering teamwork.
• Produces high-quality images and prepares them with relevant patient information for timely interpretation; maintains accurate documentation.
• Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures and administering radiopharmaceuticals and approved medications.
• Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoots equipment, and maintains a safe environment adhering to safety policies and ALARA principles related to radioactive materials.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice.
• Ensures efficient workflow, monitors inventory, and performs procedures independently as per policies and protocols.
• May support and direct activities of students and support staff during shifts.
