Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized respiratory therapy care for pediatric patients, including airway management, respiratory treatments, and mechanical ventilation weaning. The position offers a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support and requires flexibility to float between units as needed.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, and proficiency in charting systems (any system acceptable).
- Preferred Qualifications: ER and ICU experience in acute care settings, trauma level II experience preferred.
- Additional Qualifications: BLS certification, experience with adult critical care, emergency department procedures, airway management, respiratory treatments, suctioning, use of mechanical ventilation equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: BLS and RRT certification required; will perform airway management, ventilator troubleshooting, suctioning, and other critical respiratory procedures.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, providing care for pediatric patients, with the potential to float between units. Coverage for holidays is required, and all scheduling requests must be made upfront. Candidates must include responses to pre-submission questions regarding prior employment at Providence facilities and submit two references covering the relevant periods.
