Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position is located in a healthcare facility specializing in skilled nursing care. The role involves providing physical therapy services under supervision to support patient rehabilitation goals. This position emphasizes patient treatment, education, and documentation to enhance recovery and maintain maximum function.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must be a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Vermont and New Hampshire or hold a compact license. Graduate of an accredited school as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience as a PTA in a home health care setting is preferred.
• Additional Information: The PTA will treat patients as prescribed by a physician and following initial and periodic evaluations by a registered Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, assisting with active and passive exercises, operating specialized equipment, observing and reporting patient responses, educating patients and caregivers, and ensuring timely documentation.
