Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist, Registered (RT PEDS) located in an acute care environment. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients under physician supervision. The position requires assessment, planning, and execution of various respiratory therapy procedures essential to patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RT or RCP license in the state of Texas; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required; 1 year of experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced practices skills including therapeutic gas management and monitoring, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, and waveform analysis. Additional certifications such as ENPC or EFM may be advantageous
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, implementing and managing respiratory care plans, and operating various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures. The role may involve participating in compliance surveys and possibly functioning as a shift or team leader.
