Job Summary
Ultrasonographer Echo in Concord, North Carolina. This position involves performing advanced echocardiography procedures including processing 3D and strain imaging, bubble studies, and contrast imaging within a Level 3 Trauma and Stroke Center of Excellence. The role requires working in a busy outpatient and inpatient setting with adult and pediatric patient populations, supporting a comprehensive cardiology department.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekend rotations scheduled once per month. The position involves working three nights of on-call per month, with a typical response time of one hour.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RCS certification, BLS certification, minimum of 3 years of outpatient or acute echocardiography experience, proficiency in EPICPACS electronic medical records system, and experience with Epic/Encompass.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to assist with stress echocardiograms (preferred).
- Float: Float within the hospital for bedside scans may be required.
- Additional Information: The department is supported by a supervisor and multiple echo technicians, with continuous access to experienced RNs, transporters, and 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist support. The role will utilize Philips Epiq CVX equipment, and orientation includes departmental training over 2-3 shifts. Scrub color is galaxy blue top with black bottoms, and free parking is available.
