Description
Job Summary:
MRI Technologist position located in a healthcare facility, with a focus on performing advanced MRI procedures in a fast-paced environment. This role involves supporting a freestanding emergency department and outpatient services, with responsibilities including image acquisition and contrast media administration, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to clinical protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Radiology, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Washington State license in both MR and Radiology. No prior experience explicitly required but candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ER/Trauma, Peds Acute Care, or Peds Outpatient settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charting systems such as Epic, trauma level experience (preferably Level I or II), and prior work in freestanding emergency departments.
- Additional Information: Candidate must be skilled in MRI and Radiology procedures, patient care, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and use of PACS. The position involves working in a 50% emergency department setting and 50% outpatient environment, supporting interdisciplinary teams including respiratory and interpretation services. Candidates should be willing to work three of the five major holidays and be flexible with float between nearby facilities if needed.
