Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in a busy, fast-paced healthcare environment serving a 500-mile radius. The role involves performing respiratory therapy procedures for a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric ages. The position primarily supports critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care, with responsibilities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in accordance with established protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating days of the week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Nevada State License, RRT certification, and must have at least 2+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience. Recent critical care experience and prior travel assignment of at least one 13-week duration are required.
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required prior to start.
  • Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to various department needs up to their competency level. May work major holidays and additional shifts as needed. Schedule varies based on departmental needs and can include weekends, holidays, and call shifts. The position involves direct patient care and adherence to protocols for patient assessment, intervention, and documentation. Candidates should be prepared to work in a Level 2 trauma center with extensive inpatient and emergency services.
