Job Summary:
The Dietitian is responsible for providing appropriate patient nutritional care in a healthcare setting. Based in the dietetic specialty, this role involves assessing patients' nutritional status, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions. The position requires collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes through personalized nutrition education and counseling.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field; valid dietitian license or registration; at least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting; experience in assessing nutritional status, developing care plans, and providing patient education.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cultural food preferences, interdisciplinary collaboration, and development of clinical performance indicators.
• Additional Information: The role includes reviewing patient data to modify therapeutic diets as needed, ensuring assessments are completed timely, and documenting all interventions according to policy. The dietitian will also communicate with physicians regarding nutritional care, monitor patient tolerance to diets, and assist in department performance evaluations. The position involves routine visits to nursing units to identify potential nutritional risks and address diet order discrepancies.
