Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves working rotating night shifts, primarily from 6 pm to 6:30 am, totaling 36 hours per week. The role requires providing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care, including pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, blood gas analysis, and mechanical ventilation management. The work schedule includes some call and weekend responsibilities, with holidays also included.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week; rotating weekly between Sunday-Tuesday one week and Sunday-Wednesday the following week. Hours are 6 pm to 6:30 am including some call and weekends; holidays are included.
• Required Qualifications: Certification or registry from college or technical school; Current active license as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Colorado; Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications; Two years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, and blood gas analysis; proficiency in invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation management.
• Additional Information: Performs and analyzes diagnostic tests, assesses patients through physical examination and data interpretation, applies various therapeutics including medical gas, humidity, aerosol therapy, and airway management. Participates in discharge planning, case management, and community health education activities. Attends mandatory safety and department meetings.
