Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in the pediatric and adult critical care units. The position involves providing advanced respiratory care and support in a Level III trauma center, working primarily during night shifts. This opportunity offers diverse clinical experiences across various ICU, ER, PCS, and NICU settings, with potential to support during surge periods and contribute to a team-oriented and travel-friendly culture.

Job Details:

  • Location: Puyallup, Washington

  • Shift Schedule: Nights, 1800-0630, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and shifts lasting 12 hours

  • Start Date: 10/19/2026

  • End Date: 01/16/2027

  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (must have scheduled class prior to starting); valid state licensure; minimum of 0 years of experience; experience with ABGs, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator/trach management, and respiratory therapies; Neonate experience preferred

  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting in various ICU and ER settings; familiarity with EPIC charting system, blood gas analysis, and ventilator management using Medtronic, Draeger, LTV, and Servo NIV ventilators; NICU secondary support preferred

  • Additional Information:

    • Will be working in critical care environments including ICUs, EDs, PCUs, and NICU, assisting with respiratory therapies and ventilator management.
    • Support on the unit includes supervision and leadership responsibilities.
    • Orientation will include 1-2 hospital days and 3 days of 12-hour shifts, with a 1:1 ratio with Lead RT.
    • The role requires floating across ICU, ER, PCU, and NICU during surge situations.
    • Scrub color can be any professional attire, no camo or denim.
    • Parking provided free of charge.
    • The culture emphasizes teamwork and travel friendliness.
    • Must be available to work 7 days a week and accommodate every other weekend rotation.
    • Requests for schedule modifications, such as block scheduling or time off, should be submitted to the RT manager with appropriate notice.
    • Holiday work expected, with at least one holiday required.
