Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General in a healthcare organization. This full-time role involves performing a wide variety of routine and advanced ultrasound imaging procedures, supporting other imaging technologists, and ensuring efficient patient flow. The technologist must be capable of handling ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting basic issues, and participating in quality assurance and ongoing education activities to meet clinical standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4 Days, 10 Hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited ultrasound technology program or an equivalent recognized education; at least 0 years of ultrasound scanning experience; basic computer skills; Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications include: Sonography (S) by ARRT, Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS, Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS. Preferred additional certifications include: Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT, Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT, Breast (BR) RDMS by ARDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS. State licensure is required if in New Mexico. DMS by MIRTP and NMEDBLS certification via American Heart Association are also required.
- Experience: 0 years minimum experience required; 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred.
- Other Requirements: Ability to adapt to flexible shifts and multiple locations; proficient in equipment troubleshooting, image archiving, and adhering to standards of care and safety protocols.
- Additional Information: The technologist will perform examinations, maintain equipment, and participate in quality assurance processes. Flexibility to work other shifts or at different campuses as needed is expected.
