Job Summary
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) The position is located in an inpatient setting where the primary focus is on evaluating and treating adult and pediatric patients through evidence-based physical therapy practices. The role involves developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring functionality and preventing disability, while ensuring clear communication and documentation of patient progress.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 1 year of experience in outpatient physical therapy, and able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Preferred Qualifications: Documentation of Specialist Certification, experience in outpatient clinical settings, and clinical expertise in a focused area of rehabilitation
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include evaluating new patients, establishing treatment goals, administering diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests, performing treatments, effectively communicating with medical and allied health personnel, documenting patient care, providing patient and family education, training new personnel, maintaining departmental standards, and participating in professional development activities. The role also involves maintaining daily patient activity records and performing other duties as assigned.
