Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General (Ultrasound Technologist) in the designated location. This position involves performing routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity to assist physicians and healthcare providers in diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of illness. The role requires operating independently with sound judgment to deliver accurate imaging results within established clinical protocols.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or possession of American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification. Must hold ARDMS (American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification upon hire, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. Candidates should possess two of the following certifications: Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Fetal Echocardiography (FE), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN), Pediatric Sonography (PS), Registered Vascular Technician (RVT).
  • Experience: 0 years minimum required, but any relevant recent experience in sonography is beneficial.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Basic proficiency in diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, and equipment, including medical terminology and anatomy. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members, manage time efficiently, and utilize computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and image management systems. Adept at prioritizing tasks and working independently while adhering to policies and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  • Additional Information: The candidate will perform sonographic examinations, respond to emergencies, and may assist in departmental orientation of new staff. Clinical competence and adherence to all applicable regulations and hospital policies are essential.
