Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a regional healthcare facility. This position involves providing comprehensive therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care to both inpatient and outpatient pediatric and neonatal patients. The role requires administering care under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved and accredited school for Respiratory Care; current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications; Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care; licensed to practice respiratory care in the State of Colorado; member of the American Academy of Respiratory Care (AARC); at least 5 years of newborn/NICU experience and at least 3 years of acute respiratory care experience including general floor care, emergent medical and trauma stabilization/treatment, newborn stabilization, pulmonary and cardiac diagnostics, and pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pulmonary function studies and administration of testing; involvement with community education and development.

Please note rural Gunnison does not have public transportation which will require the traveler to have access to a reliable source of transportation.
