Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Assistant (Physical Therapist Assistant) Coastal Region. This role involves providing physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. The position focuses on administering modalities, manual techniques, and exercise programs to improve patient mobility and function. Ideal for candidates with a basic understanding of physical therapy practices and a commitment to patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours daily, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; Associates or Technical Degree or equivalent; two years' physical therapy or technical experience; Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: Performs physical therapy treatments, including the use of modalities, manual techniques, and common exercise techniques. Guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities. Observes treatment precautions and patient responses, reporting changes appropriately. Provides documentation of interventions and educational training to patients and caregivers, adapting methods to learning preferences. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
