Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric and Adult Respiratory Therapist Registered position available in a critical access hospital setting. The role involves operating invasive and non-invasive ventilation equipment, drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs), airway management including assisting with intubations, and performing pulmonary function tests (PFTs). The respiratory therapist will work independently under the supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy, providing patient care across diverse age groups.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), Vermont RRT license, minimum of 2 years of current respiratory therapy experience, ability to work independently with ventilators, pacing modalities, high-flow oxygen therapy, and PFTs. Must be willing to learn home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation.
- Preferred Qualifications: At least 6 months of previous travel experience, Cerner experience preferred.
- Additional Information: Travelers are required to have their own vehicle, and all scheduling requests, including time off, must be submitted at the time of application; scheduling requests after offer or interview may not be approved. The role involves working during major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, with scheduled coverage required.
- Certifications: Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), NBRC RRT Certification
- Licenses: Vermont RRT License
- Profile Requirements: Up-to-date work history, skills checklist, recent supervisory reference, and all required documentation uploaded prior to submission. The start date is expected to be 10/12/2026 and the assignment will end on 01/11/2027.
