Job Summary
Radiation Therapist (RTT) performed in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves administering prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to established protocols and department policies. The role requires assessing patient needs, preparing treatments, operating treatment equipment, and ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained to support optimal patient care outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must possess a strong knowledge of clinical care as normally obtained through an Associate degree in radiation oncology or related field; requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the relevant state regulatory agency if applicable; BLS certification required. Knowledge of clinical techniques, equipment, and safety procedures and effective communication skills are essential.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous radiation therapy experience and additional related education or experience are preferred.
• Additional Information: Performs prescribed radiation therapy treatments by verifying orders, prepares and maintains treatment documentation, and operates treatment equipment. Demonstrates competence in performing invasive/interventional procedures, conducts quality control measurements, and maintains a safe environment following radiation safety practices. May instruct support staff and students and assist in workflow management within the department.
