Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a healthcare environment. The role involves assessing patients with breathing issues, analyzing blood and sputum samples, conducting lung capacity tests, and providing necessary treatments such as oxygen therapy and aerosol medications. The position requires managing life support systems, including mechanical ventilators, and delivering emergency cardiopulmonary care. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with NICU and Emergency Department experience seeking a short-term assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) certification, experience in pediatric and emergency department settings, and at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Preferred Qualifications: NICU and Emergency Department experience
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include updating patient medical records, collaborating with physicians on treatment plans, teaching patients and families disease management, and assisting with discharge planning. Candidates must be adaptable to a rotating shift schedule to meet patient care needs.
