Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatric (PEDS) care is needed at a critical access hospital in Carthage, Tennessee. The position involves working independently as the only respiratory therapist on shift, providing care to patients of all ages, and supporting respiratory equipment such as Bipap/Cpap, ventilators, and Vapotherm. The role offers an opportunity to work in a small hospital setting with a collaborative team environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Carthage, TN
• Shift Details: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification/Licensure required to work as an RRT in Tennessee, ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, at least 1 year of experience, ability to work independently in a critical access hospital setting, comfortable with being the only respiratory therapist on shift, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, experience in emergency room and critical care environments
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric respiratory care is advantageous
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week
• Additional Information: There is a weekly orientation on Mondays. Candidates must have required certifications prior to start date. Must be at least 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel. The position involves serving a diverse patient population, with equipment including Bipap/Cpap, ventilators, and Vapotherm, and utilizes Meditech electronic health records.
