Description
Job Summary:
Mammographer in a healthcare setting specializing in diagnostic imaging procedures. This position involves performing various mammography exams, including screening, diagnostic, and contrast-enhanced procedures, utilizing advanced Hologic 3D and 2D equipment. The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards, collaborating with radiologists and maintaining seamless patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week, beginning on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027
- Required Qualifications: Certified as an ARRT (Mammography), ARRT (Radiologic Technologist), with BLS certification. Valid state license; Oregon license or equivalent required. At least 1 year of relevant mammography experience, specializing in diagnostic imaging.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Hologic 3D and Affirm biopsy systems, familiarity with contrast-enhanced mammography and biopsy procedures, EPIC electronic charting experience.
- Additional Information: The role involves working in a short-term acute care facility with a total of 536 beds, featuring 5 mammography rooms equipped with Hologic units for screening, diagnostics, and add views. Procedures include tomosynthesis, 2D mammography, and stereotactic biopsies; traveler will perform only general imaging, excluding contrast-enhanced biopsy or localizations. Flexibility for open to 4-10 or 5-8 schedules with Fridays off is preferred. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays and request all specific scheduling needs upfront. The position requires at least one year of mammography experience and a compact license valid in the state.
