Description
Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Inpatient position available in a home health setting. The role involves providing specialized care to adult patients, primarily geriatrically, with diagnoses such as cerebrovascular accident (CVA), traumatic brain injury (TBI), dysphagia, apraxia, speech and cognition impairments, and cancer. The position requires working within Anson and Union counties, focusing on developing and evaluating care plans related to swallowing difficulties and patient education.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: State license, BLS certification, drivers license, insurance, vehicle; CCCs (certification of clinical competency received after CFY); masters degree or above; a minimum of 2 years of experience, with at least 3 months of home health experience (internships accepted)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with HomeCare HomeBase EMR, skills in swallow studies, developing care plans, and patient/family education.
- Other notes: Orientation involves 1 week with a speech-language pathology teammate; no weekend rotations or on-call responsibilities; no holiday expectations; approval for RTO is granted; pertinent equipment includes a laptop, phone, and tools necessary for home visits; floating to other home health positions may be required.
