Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in an inpatient setting. This role involves providing respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, supporting a dynamic ICU environment with fluctuating patient needs. The responsibilities include drawing ABGs, performing EKGs, assisting with intubations, and managing high flow NC and ventilator support, all within a welcoming and friendly team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts from 05:30 to 18:00, working 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, ACLS, BLS Certifications, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), minimum of 2 years of experience, based in a hospital ICU environment, and valid license to submit.
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification is considered a bonus.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The RN team operates 24/7 and staffing includes a charge/lead therapist each shift and a manager available weekdays. The department utilizes Puritan Bennet 980 ventilators, Phillips CPAP and Bipap units, DreamStations, and V-60s with HFT options. New equipment is expected next year. The role requires knowledge of bronch adapters and assistance with bronchs, along with timely reporting of critical labs and strict hand hygiene protocols.
