Description
Job Summary:
The EEG Technologist Registered (EEG R) position is located in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves positioning between various units within the facility, with a focus on adult inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory EEG, long-term monitoring, sleep EEG, and calibration of electromyographic equipment. The assignment includes working scheduled days, with rotating weekday and weekend call responsibilities, typically covering about one weekend every six weeks.
Job Details:
- Location: Not specified but within a 50-mile radius of the candidates residence.
- Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Education: Not specified
- Experience: At least 1 year of clinical EEG experience
- Licensure: Valid state license with a compact license preferred
- Additional: Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience; no specific patient ratio experience required; experience with charting systems such as Epic preferred but not required.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- ABRET Certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience in adult inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory EEG, long-term monitoring, sleep EEG, and electromyographic equipment calibration.
- Operational Requirements:
- Must be able to work approximately one weekend every six weeks, with on-call duties related to weekends and weekdays.
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekend day shifts during staff PTO.
- Candidates will be expected to work during holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
- Candidates must respond to specific scheduling and RTO (Requested Time Off) requests at submission.
- Refusal to float between sister facilities when required may result in contract termination.
- No call-in practices; communication to be managed through provided devices if necessary.
- Completion of orientation modules prior to start, with time recorded in Workramp transcripts.
- References: Two references covering the past 12 months during the compliance process.
