Description
Job Summary:
Polysomnographer (Sleep Technician) position located in an outpatient sleep clinic setting. The role involves performing overnight polysomnographic testing, including patient setup, electrode application, and data collection. Candidates will operate sophisticated sleep study equipment, troubleshoot artifacts, and compile comprehensive reports to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Start date: 09/15/2026; End date: 10/03/2026.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent; candidates must be licensed by the Medical Board of California as a sleep technologist; current RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic technologist) certification; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of sleep disorders, familiarity with electronic sleep testing systems, and understanding of advanced sleep study procedures.
- Additional Information: The Sleep Technician will perform patient hook-ups, titrations, and medication administration per physician orders. They must accurately identify and eliminate artifacts, provide detailed notes, and adhere to clinical policies and procedures throughout overnight testing shifts.
