Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Pediatric (RT PEDS) at the healthcare organization. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, procedures, and education. The role requires adherence to clinical policies and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT), with relevant pediatric experience or training. No minimum years of experience required; all required certifications and educational credentials must be current.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric patients, pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification, and familiarity with pediatric respiratory procedures.
• Additional Information: Performs respiratory treatments, operating ventilatory equipment and managing invasive and non-invasive devices. Conducts procedures such as suctioning, chest physiotherapy, arterial puncture, and tracheostomy care. Monitors patient response, reviews diagnostic tests, and documents care. Follows all policy guidelines related to laboratory testing, airway management, and respiratory procedures. Maintains equipment functionality and ensures accurate record-keeping. Communicates effectively with physicians and team members regarding patient status and therapy effectiveness.
