Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves performing initial examinations and providing comprehensive physical therapy interventions to a diverse patient population. The position offers an entry-level opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team, with rotating responsibilities across inpatient, outpatient, and acute services, under the supervision of the Therapy Manager or Professional Practice Manager.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends if available (which would then provide a day off during the week).
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; current New York State Physical Therapy license; 0 to 1 year of experience; excellent oral, communication, and interpersonal skills; demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills; intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: Performs initial examinations, establishes goals, plans and implements treatment interventions, and adjusts care based on re-examinations. Coordinates with other disciplines, manages documentation, and provides patient and caregiver training. Participates in discharge planning, attends conferences and meetings, and may be assigned additional patients as needed. Maintains therapy attendance records, patient charges, and statistics. Supervises Rehab Patient Care Associates, volunteers, and students. Must be a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Follows all organizational policies and procedures.
