Description
Job Summary:
The Ultrasonographer General (Ultrasound Sonographer) position is based at a teaching, Level I Trauma acute care hospital. The role involves performing general and pediatric ultrasound examinations, with a focus on obstetric, vascular, and other diagnostic studies. The assigned schedule includes Thursday through Sunday shifts, with a commitment of 36 hours per week, supporting a dynamic clinical environment that serves diverse patient populations across multiple age groups.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Thursday - Sunday, including 8 and 10 hour shifts: Thu/Fri from 0800-1830, Sat/Sun from 0800-1630. Total of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: One year of ultrasound experience, active Oregon State license or proof of application and fingerprinting, ARDMS certification in general (ARDMS AB), obstetric (ARDMS OB/GYN), and RDCS PE*, Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic charting system experience, additional certifications such as RDMS-Peds or RVT.
- Float: Float within a site and across the system is required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation.
- Holidays: Coverage is required for any holidays that fall on scheduled days.
- Additional Information: The position involves working in a Level I Trauma hospital with inpatient portables and outpatient exams, including general, pediatric, and obstetric imaging. The start date is 10/26/2026 with an end date of 01/25/2027. All compliance documentation, including modules, skills testing, and Epic certification, must be completed before start. References from charge nurses, supervisors, or managers are required within the last year. Background checks must show no felony convictions.
