Job Summary
Ultrasonographer Echo (Specialty) in an acute care setting. This role involves performing adult echocardiography (Echo) and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) studies in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced imaging equipment and system software. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality cardiac imaging.
Job Details
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, from 07:00 to 17:30, with coverage every third Saturday and call every third day. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit and unexpired drive license. Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult echocardiography (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS, with proficiency in standard and TEE procedures. Certifications include BLS (AHA), ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography), RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer), RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer), and adult echo (AE) certification via ARDMS. Experience with pediatric echo (PE) is advantageous. Ability to perform standard and transesophageal procedures is essential. Knowledge of EPIC electronic medical record and PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System) is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric echo experience and additional adult echo certifications such as AE or PE.
- Additional Information: The department operates with two ultrasound rooms and one holding area, allowing scanning in three locations. The candidate will work exclusively within echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography, with no floating required. The team collaborates with a cath lab RN for IV starting and stress echo procedures. The position is within an acute care division, and scrubs are provided. The shift entails working with the manager of the cath lab, and in-house radiology support is available.
