Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a hospital setting specializing in neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory therapy for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), including ventilator management, airway support, and advanced respiratory procedures. The position requires a commitment to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on neonatal and pediatric patient populations.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment starts on 10/05/2026 and concludes on 01/04/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT preferred), valid license to practice, with at least 2 years of experience working in PICU and/or Level 4 or greater Neonatal Intensive Care Unit settings. Certifications required include BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilator management including Hamilton and Servo ventilators, Respironics & Hamilton BiPAP, Fisher & Paykel HFN, airway management, intrahospital transport, and advanced respiratory procedures.
• Responsibilities: Performing all aspects of respiratory care including ABGs, EKGs, airway management, use of specialized ventilators and equipment such as Aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, and NAVA. Support patient transport within the hospital as needed, assist with intubation (assist only).
• Additional Information: RTs must be able to work in a high-acuity environment, providing care to both neonatal and pediatric patients, including neonates, infants, and adults. Hospitalist or intensivist support is available in-house. Flexibility with shift scheduling is permitted with a commitment of six weekend shifts per 4-week cycle. The department conducts orientation based on previous experience.
