Description
Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in an acute care setting. The role involves performing therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The position requires exercising clinical judgment to develop and implement care plans, ensuring patient safety and comfort, in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 0700-1930, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); California State Respiratory Therapist Licensure; NBRC certification. A minimum of 0 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with preferred prior travel experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience and community hospital experience are advantageous.
- Certifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, NRP, RRT, and CA State Licensure with current documentation.
- Additional Information: The position includes responsibilities such as aerosol setup, arterial punctures, intubation assist, mechanical ventilation management, and providing respiratory care for diverse patient populations including those on advanced respiratory support like BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula. Experience with charting systems (preferably Epic) and interdisciplinary collaboration is expected.
