Job Summary:
MRI Technologist Portland. This position involves producing diagnostic images through magnetic resonance imaging equipment under limited radiologist supervision. The role includes performing procedures, calibrating and operating imaging equipment, and collaborating with patient care teams to ensure quality imaging for diagnostic purposes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating day and night shifts, with the shift hours being 12 hours per day, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and participation in an on-call rotation including weekday nights (11:00 PM to 5:30 AM) and weekends. This part-time position requires a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certificate or diploma from MRI school or Associate's degree in Radiology, licensed as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) in the state of practice, and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT-R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent, and additional ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI), or ARMRIT certifications.
• Essential Functions:
  • Scan patients in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
  • Perform MRI diagnostic procedures, producing high-quality images for diagnosis and monitoring.
  • Use equipment to create 3D images of body tissues, capturing detailed information on shape and pathology.
  • Summarize, document, and present images and findings to physicians for interpretation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Prepare, administer, and monitor contrast media as required.
  • Obtain pertinent patient information and communicate preparation instructions.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
