Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) Bismarck. This position involves providing pediatric physical therapy services within a hospital-based inpatient setting. The role requires independent work in a clinical environment, focusing on evaluations, treatments, and developmental assessments for children from birth to 21 years of age, with potential involvement in outpatient and school-based services.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour days, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and shift times roughly from 8:00 or 8:30 to 5:00 or 5:30, and 8:00 or 8:30 to 3:30 on Fridays.
• Required Qualifications: Current North Dakota Physical Therapist (PT) license, BS in Physical Therapy, CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), at least 1 year of pediatric physical therapy experience (preferred), and a current drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Preferred Qualifications: More than 3 years of pediatric PT experience, experience with pediatric assessments such as Peabody, GMFM, School Function Assessment, and familiarity with electronic medical records like Epic/One Chart.
• Patient/Case Types: Pediatric evaluations and treatments in hospital inpatient and outpatient settings, including developmental assessments, orthopedic evaluations, gait assessments, orthotic needs, and functional training for children.
• Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, perform therapy sessions, document progress, collaborate with support staff and vendors for orthotics and adaptive equipment, and provide education to patients and caregivers.
• Equipment and Systems: Utilize pediatric therapy equipment, computerized charting systems such as Epic/One Chart, and maintain documentation per facility protocols.
• Additional Information: The department covers a wide age range and includes inpatient, outpatient, and occasional home or daycare visits. Pediatric physiatrist visits monthly, and therapist cooperation is essential. Orientation will include Epic/One Chart training, school-based procedures, and equipment usage.
