Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) position in a day shift setting at a healthcare facility. This role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans in alignment with physician directives, and facilitating effective discharge planning. The position emphasizes patient safety, professional development, and adherence to clinical standards over a schedule of eight-hour shifts, totaling at least 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school; at least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience; CPR certification; active applicable license for the state where work will be performed; professional licensure maintained in good standing; successful completion of an assignment with the organization or Select Medical previously is highly desired.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with student supervision and professional development planning, knowledge of performance improvement methodologies, compliance with State Practice Act, and other regulatory requirements.
• Completes comprehensive patient evaluations and develops treatment plans focusing on progression toward discharge within an established length of stay.
• Documents medical records clearly, accurately, and timely, including goal setting, assessments, and insurance documentation, aligned with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Participates in student programs, providing positive supervision and evaluations.
• Maintains professional licensure and pursues ongoing professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Adheres to organizational performance improvement initiatives, offering feedback to enhance service quality.
• Demonstrates organizational and safety behaviors, including safe patient handling, infectious disease protocols, and slip/trip/fall prevention.
• Follows clinic guidelines regarding personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
