Job Summary
Pathology Assistant This position is located in an acute care hospital environment, focusing on complex specimen grossing in a high-volume setting. The role involves integrating knowledge and practice to execute procedures related to gross dissection, post-mortem examinations, and specimen management, supporting the laboratory team and facilitating quality patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, with a start date of 10/19/2026 and end date of 01/18/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant (ASCP), minimum of 0 years of experience, and CA State Nursing License uploaded within the last 2 weeks.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with grossing specimens in an acute hospital setting preferred.
• Additional Information: Performs gross dissection and description of pathology specimens, intra-procedural consultations including frozen sectioning, and all aspects of post-mortem examinations. Manages pathology materials including storage, retrieval, and disposal. Assists with validation and implementation of new testing methods, maintains compliance documentation, and supports laboratory functions as needed within regulatory standards.
