Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatrics in a healthcare setting provides specialized patient care focused on respiratory therapy for pediatric patients. This position involves administering various treatments, operating ventilatory equipment, conducting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal respiratory health outcomes. The role requires clinical expertise and adherence to established protocols to support patient recovery and safety.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) credential; valid respiratory therapist license; excellent communication skills; experience with pediatric respiratory care; location flexible; minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric patients; familiarity with neonatal respiratory procedures; certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will evaluate patients, perform respiratory treatments including ventilator management, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and arterial punctures, and monitor patient responses. Responsibilities also include conducting pulmonary function studies, assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement, and ensuring proper maintenance and operation of respiratory equipment. The role involves maintaining accurate documentation, effective communication with the care team, and adherence to hospital policies and safety guidelines.
