Description
Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist (RTT) position available in a healthcare facility located in the area. This role involves performing routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician-developed treatment plans. The Radiation Therapist will work independently, ensuring the delivery of accurate and safe patient care, while maintaining effective communication with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
Job Details:
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Equipment: TrueBeam system
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California state license and applicable certifications (AHA or ARC), at least 2 years of experience in radiation therapy, experience with community hospital settings, and proficiency with charting systems
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, experience in trauma level I or II settings, and familiarity with patient ratios in similar facilities
- Additional Information: Performs a variety of radiation therapy and simulation procedures in accordance with departmental policies. Operates complex radiation therapy equipment, maintains documentation, and assists physicians during procedures. Ensures patient education to reduce anxiety, adheres to safety standards to minimize radiation exposure, and maintains a clean environment. Completes all onboarding requirements including labs, work history verification, and submitting all compliance documents 10 days prior to start date.
