Radiologic Technologist in the XRAY TECH specialty located in a healthcare facility. Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); registered with the ARRT in Radiology; meets the American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years; no minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include performing patient care and technical duties in a timely manner, reviewing requests for appropriate exams, explaining procedures to patients, preparing and positioning patients for examinations, operating radiologic equipment such as CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms safely, transferring images to PACS, assisting during fluoroscopic and special procedure examinations, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, radiologic equipment, safety hazards, and proper sterile techniques is essential.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot radiologic equipment, document procedures accurately, and provide excellent customer service is required.
• Additional duties include assisting with clerical tasks, maintaining quality assurance, and educating radiology students as directed.
