Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Pediatric (RT PEDS) Location: Not specified. This role involves providing quality respiratory care to pediatric patients within the healthcare provider's facility. The respiratory therapist will evaluate patients, recommend treatment plans, operate ventilatory equipment, perform diagnostic tests, and assist with various procedures related to respiratory therapy, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: 0 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include operating ventilatory equipment (both invasive and non-invasive), administering medications, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring oxygenation and ventilation, reviewing chest x-rays, performing EKGs, conducting pulmonary function tests, assisting with procedures such as Bronchoscopy and Chest Tube placement, and maintaining accurate records.
• Performs arterial puncture, manages tracheostomy care, inserts and removes endotracheal tubes, and operates mechanical ventilators.
• Ensures compliance with laboratory testing protocols, performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines, and maintains equipment.
• Communicates effectively with attending physicians and documents all treatments and patient responses.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
