Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General Specialty in Ultrasonographer General Location: Not specified. This position involves performing high-quality adult echocardiography studies with expertise in assessing patients for TAVR procedures, including scanning pre-TAVR treatment patients with critical aortic stenosis. The role requires extensive inpatient echo experience in a cardiac center or structural heart facility, focusing on patient comfort, and ensuring accurate imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience Requirements: Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association (AHA). Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
• Schedule: Days, 9 hours shift, minimum 36 hours per week, from 10/26/2026 to 01/24/2027.
• Required Skills & Experience: Experienced Sonographer to perform high-quality adult echo studies and proficient in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills. Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies. Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and respond to critical findings.
• Preferred Skills & Experience: TEE and Stress Echo experience. Familiarity with 3D echo imaging. TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, closure device protocols. Maintaining ICAEL-accreditation echo lab standards. Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems. Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have actively scanned at a facility where they scanned severe to critical aortic stenosis patients who are candidates for TAVR devices. Candidates should detail their specific experience scanning severe to critical aortic stenosis patients for TAVR in their submission cover sheet under the "Previous Relevant Experience" section.
• Submission Requirements: Must include specific prior TAVR TTE experience on the cover sheet.
